At instances, we may find that a spiritual person lying. Is it not wrong? The answer is No, it is not wrong because the purpose of the lie is what matters than the Lie itself. It may be confusing. Let us take an example so that you will have a clear picture of it. There is a Cancer Patient who is going to die within a month. If the Doctor goes to him and tells this news to the patient, then he will be devastated and his few days on this earth will also be ruined. Instead, if the doctor can say that he is alright and ask him to go enjoy life, then at least for a few days, he will be happy and that is the point.
If the purpose of the lie is for a good cause then it is okay to lie and that is why you see a spiritual person lying in instances. Their cause is good. Their mind is clear. They are not going to hurt anyone. Guruve Sharanam.
