The modern age marvel Paramporul Foundation was inaugurated on 1st April 2021. Ever since the foundation has been striving against the odds to feed 300 to 500 hungry souls with an afternoon meal every single day, this feat was made possible through the inexorable effort and the charitable vision of its founder, Maha Vishnu.
Maha Vishnu’s Early Life
Maha Vishnu was born on July 2nd, 1994, in a government hospital in Alanganallur, Madurai. As the eldest son of the couple, Krishna Moorthy and Parameswari, he felt a deep responsibility towards every life suffering from hunger. Starting his education in a government public school, Mahavishnu excelled in his studies, receiving the highest honors in every subject.
Alongside his academic achievements, Mahavishnu showcased his comedic talent on the television show “Asatha Povathu Yaru,” where he entertained Tamil people worldwide under the name “Madurai Maha“. His extraordinary skills earned him the title of “Comedy Genius” on the show. Recognizing his talent, the Tamil Arts and Literature Society awarded him the prestigious title of “Best Comedic Artist.”
Even at the young age of 16, Mahavishnu received numerous accolades, including the Young Achiever Award from the Tirupur Rotary Club and the Chentamilchelvan Award from Sri Pushpam College. His exceptional abilities and contributions have been acknowledged by various media outlets such as Dinamalar, Dinathanthi, News7, and News18.
From Skepticism to Spiritual Awakening
Mahavishnu, once a person skeptical of faith in God, had his life take an unexpected turn. After completing the script for a short film, fate intervened with a tragic incident that led him to visit the Kailasa Kona Falls. There, a deep inner voice guided him toward the Kanchi Vishwanath Swami’s soul meditation spot. This encounter marked the beginning of Mahavishnu’s spiritual awakening.
A Profound Encounter
At the soul meditation spot, Mahavishnu encountered a 92-year-old man, a disciple of Sri Kanchi Viswanatha Swamigal, who imparted profound wisdom and teachings on family, life, money, fame, assets, and desires. This encounter left a lasting impact on Mahavishnu, who promised to share this wisdom with others when he matured enough. The disciple’s teachings laid the foundation for Mahavishnu’s spiritual path.
The Beginning of the Paramporul Foundation
Maha Vishnu started a YouTube channel named Paramporul Foundation, where he began discussing the intricate philosophies of life. He openly shared the most revered secrets of spirituality that he had never disclosed so transparently before. His videos gained significant popularity, and Maha Vishnu chose not to keep the revenue generated for himself. He used the rest of the income solely to feed the poor and downtrodden people, keeping only a small sum to fulfill his personal needs.
Feeding the Hungry
On May 10th, 2021, through his foundation, Maha Vishnu began providing food to 500 souls daily. This initiative has continued since that day, with the foundation providing a heartful meal every Thursday afternoon. In addition, Maha Vishnu started spiritual seminars called Paramporul Yoga to enlighten people about powerful meditation techniques and reveal the secrets behind spirituality that have been passed down through the ages by sages and gurus.
Spiritual Seminars and Outreach
Maha Vishnu’s spiritual seminars, which have attracted participants from various walks of life, government employees, teachers, doctors, engineers, business owners, sportspeople, and many others, help people understand the realm of enlightenment that surrounds spirituality. These seminars have emphasized that spirituality lies beyond caste, religion, race, language, culture, etc.
Foundation’s Legal Standing and Tax Exemption
Paramporul Foundation is registered with the Indian government and abides by all rules and regulations. The foundation is recognized under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, meaning that donations made towards the foundation are processed and exempted from taxes. The funds collected are transparently used to provide food for more than 300 people every day, along with other charitable efforts.
Foundation’s Charitable Contributions
In addition to providing food, the funds are also directed towards helping the poor with clothing, supporting the educational expenses of underprivileged children, and providing aid for building constructions in government schools. The foundation also works to plant and care for tree saplings, provide aid for marriages and medical expenses, support senior citizens, and organize cost-free eye camps. The foundation also encourages extraordinary talent in sports by offering financial aid.
Global Outreach
Maha Vishnu conducts seminars and Paramporul Yogam training sessions not only in major Indian cities but also in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Dubai, and many others, aiming to spread the message of feeding hunger first and wisdom next.
Mission and Vision of the Foundation
Maha Vishnu met with the Honorable Educational Minister, Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, and submitted a petition on behalf of the Paramporul Foundation requesting the incorporation of Valalar’s Thiru Chitrambala Kalvi Thiruvarutpa into Tamil Nadu textbooks. People interested in joining the mission can participate in Paramporul Yogam sessions and continue supporting the foundation by becoming benefactors.
The Principles and Policies of the Paramporul Trust
1. Followers of the Paramporul Trust, including initiated yogis, administrators, members, and other related individuals, should first and foremost regard all people, regardless of their religion, gender, or physical appearance, as fellow souls equal to themselves. They must offer help to everyone, without any form of bias or discrimination, in any situation, to the best of their ability.
2. Beyond humans, one must also consider the 84 lakh species of other living beings created by God as equally important. Realizing that the same divine power or soul that resides in oneself also resides in all other beings and that it is God who moves within them should be the guiding thought for living every moment of life.
3. If you see any human being or other living creature anywhere in the world suffering from hunger, whether they express their hunger to you or not, the Divine has given you the duty to alleviate their hunger without any hesitation.
4. While providing any kind of help, whether it is food, knowledge, or financial assistance, one must not seek credit or pride for it. Instead, we should view it as an opportunity granted by the Divine, understanding that it is the Divine who empowers and fulfills the act of service through us.
5. The Paramporul Foundation refers to the Divine as Light or Jyoti alone and not as any individual human being. At the same time, one must realize that any person who has recognized the light within themselves or is striving to discover it is also traveling on the path of the Divine. One should never proclaim, I am God. Even when a person attains the state of divinity, they must joyfully identify themselves as a servant, worker, or devotee of the Divine.
6. One must realize that this light (Fuel or Energy or Light or God’s Particle) as the soul is what drives every living being.
7. Followers of the Paramporul Foundation must realize that there is no compulsion to follow only one guru. They have the full right to choose any guru they like or desire and accept them as a guru to follow a life of compassion or take up Paramporul yoga practices.
8. One must break the sense of “I,” “me,” “myself,” and “by me” and understand that everything happens by the will of God. One should live each moment recognizing that God’s grace enables all accomplishments.
9. We should practice the yoga exercises shared with us for at least five minutes every day. Whenever needed, we should also teach these exercises to others without any conditions, helping them on their path to spiritual enlightenment so that they, too, can reach a higher state of being without wasting time in this fast-paced world.
10. As much as possible, without any selfish desires or expectations, we should cultivate a mindset of generosity and kindness, just like a tree that gives its fruits, flowers, and shade to others.
11. Those in spiritual life should not consider earning money and wealth as wrong or sinful. Instead, they should recognize that they can only help a larger number of living beings with money and resources. Keeping this in mind, one should earn money and resources through righteous and ethical means and use them to help and support society.
12. Each individual should share their business strategies, knowledge, spiritual information, and spiritual secrets with others to bring light into their lives as well.
13. We should prioritize and offer special opportunities to the younger generation and children, encouraging their interest in spirituality and guiding them toward the right spiritual path.
14. When the intention is focused on the well-being of others and is aligned with the divine purpose, even if one takes an unconventional or difficult path, there is no wrong in it, and no negative karma is associated with it. This should be understood.
15. One should not have the thought that by sharing knowledge, they are the wise one, the guru, or the most important person, nor should they expect anything in return. At the same time, if someone who has benefited wants to show their gratitude, whether in material or monetary form, it is perfectly acceptable to receive it without any guilt.
16. It is wrong to abandon one’s household life, duties, and family, citing the pursuit of liberation, a life without rebirth, or spiritual life as the reason. Spiritual progress should be made while fulfilling one’s household duties.
17. It is commendable to get married, have children if needed, and teach them spiritual wisdom. However, living together as a man and woman without marriage, with mutual understanding, is also a personal choice based on individual preference.
18. One should show love and compassion to their spouse, children, or relatives. However, while offering help, they should not impose their own preferences or decisions on others. Instead, they should respect the choices of others and offer support without controlling their lives.
19. One should live their daily life with a mindset of giving rather than focusing on what they can take. The attitude should be about sharing, helping, and contributing to others rather than seeking personal gain.
20. Those who have benefited from the Paramporul Trust should remember that, when the trust is financially strong, many more people will be guided to the divine path in the future. With this in mind, they should keep supporting the trust financially and materially to help it grow and become stronger. They should also share the teachings, videos, books, and wisdom of Guru Mahavishnu with as many people as possible.
21. No matter what criticism arises, considering the ignorance of the people in the world, one should act with wisdom and without engaging in arguments or fighting with the critics. Instead, one should strive to be an excellent yogi with great patience and tolerance. Through our patience and forbearance, we should amaze the critics and inspire them to embark on the path of divinity.
22. No matter how many family responsibilities or personal problems we face, we should handle them with great patience and maturity, without stress or anger. We should live a peaceful family life, with kindness and understanding towards others and ourselves.
23. Sometimes, even when we have nothing to give to someone seeking help, we should pause and center ourselves mentally and pray to God on their behalf. This act of prayer is far more powerful than giving material assistance because God listens to prayers made for the well-being of others.
24. By emphasizing compassion for all living beings, we must understand the importance of not killing or causing harm to other creatures. Gradually, we should change our eating habits and transition to a pure vegetarian diet, one that does not include even eggs. Additionally, we should explore where we can obtain the protein found in non-vegetarian foods and incorporate those sources into our vegetarian meals, ensuring they provide the strength and health our bodies need.
25. Followers of the Paramporul Foundation have the full right to freely receive initiation into other yogic practices, explore them, and travel anywhere without any hindrance, all for the purpose of spiritual advancement.
26. There are no conditions stating that one must worship this particular God or follow this specific Guru. Each individual has the full freedom to navigate this world according to their own experiences and needs.
27. Without any hesitation, doubt, or preference, we should openly understand and share knowledge about one of the most important aspects of human life: sexuality. One should do this in a respectful, lawful way, following the laws and regulations of each country and avoiding harm to others. Each person can respectfully and responsibly share the wisdom of intimacy with an open heart.
28. When some people openly share their life experiences, habits, and thoughts, we should give them complete freedom to do so. Instead of judging them as good or bad, we should offer them good guidance, embracing them with kindness and helping them stay on the right path. We must provide them with a loving and harmonious attitude, showing understanding and support.
29. Spiritual teachings especially need to be given to those who are following the wrong path or are lost in unrighteousness. When God presents an opportunity to meet them, we should not reject or avoid them. Instead, with patience, understanding, and a listening ear, we should guide them gently, showing them the right way as part of our duty.
30. We should avoid the mindset of always needing to speak and instead focus on developing the ability to listen. This quality will lead to greater inner growth. Even when others say things we already know, we should value their interest and give them the attention they deserve, nurturing the maturity to listen with an open mind.
31. The administrators, members, volunteers, workers, and others closely involved with the organization should serve as a better example to others. To avoid getting trapped in the distractions of daily life and to ensure their own spiritual growth, it is essential for them to maintain constant awareness. They should dedicate at least five minutes daily to the yoga practice taught to them, staying mindful and focused on their spiritual development.
32. In daily family life, there is no strict rule regarding which color or type of clothing to wear. However, it is important to keep in mind that wearing white clothing frequently can be beneficial for spiritual progress.
33. Specifically, for any events or classes conducted by the Paramporul Foundation, volunteers, administrators, and workers must wear the designated white clothing.
34. When you see another Paramporul Yogi or any other person, you should greet them by saying Guruve Sharanam (I surrender to the Guru) and begin speaking. This practice will bring spiritual benefit to both your soul and the soul of the person you are conversing with.
35. When the administrators, volunteers, and workers of the Paramporul organization face difficult times in their lives, the trustees should prioritize and give importance to them, making every effort to alleviate their struggles. It is essential to recognize that the well-being of these individuals is directly linked to the success and well-being of the organization itself.
36. We should not focus on the bad qualities of others. Instead, we should cultivate a mindset of embracing them with compassion. Not only should we develop this attitude ourselves, but we should also share this approach with others.
37. The administrators, volunteers, and workers of the Paramporul Foundation should never blame others or complain about their difficulties and hardships. They should understand that they themselves are the cause of the consequences they face.
38. One should develop the courage, enthusiasm, and mental maturity to step forward and complete the tasks at the required times and places without hesitation.
39. The administrators, volunteers, and workers of the Paramporul Foundation should mold themselves into versatile individuals by learning unknown tasks and completing them at the moment, with the success of the event or class in mind.
40. The main goal of the Paramporul Foundation is not to create disciples but to create multiple gurus. Keeping this in mind, all Paramporul Yogis, volunteers, and future gurus should openly and selflessly share the yoga and spiritual secrets they know, without any concealment, with the common people who are stuck in ignorance and drowning in the sea of suffering.
41. We must acknowledge that even gurus have things they don’t know. Keeping this in mind, if there is something we don’t know, we should have the courage to admit it openly, without shame or hesitation. By doing so, we will always have the divine grace of God with us.
42. We should understand that there are many skilled, knowledgeable, and wise people around the world. When others share knowledge that we don’t know, we must accept it humbly, without arrogance or shame. By learning, understanding, and applying that knowledge in our lives, we will increase our personal growth. By doing this, we will continue to grow and never experience stagnation or decline.
43. We must remember that the first and foremost duty is to live with a sense of compassion, followed by the practice of surrender (saranaagathi), and third, the practice of penance or meditation (thavam/dhyana). People consider living with compassion a far greater act than meditation or penance. The core mantra of the Paramporul Trust is Compassion, Surrender, and Penance, and we must never forget this.
44. We should understand that the highest form of spirituality is not found in silence or withdrawal but in overflowing with compassion, speaking with compassion, melting with compassion for others, and shedding tears for the suffering of others. This is the highest form of righteousness and divine state. There is no higher state than this, not even in the 14 worlds or the entire universe. It is important to deeply realize this truth.
45. We should strive to develop the courage and mental maturity to act selflessly, even to the extent of giving our own life for the well-being of others when necessary. In our daily life practices, we must make efforts to succeed in this selflessness. The goal is to cultivate a noble spirit of dedication, becoming like a candle that sacrifices itself to give light to others.
46. The roles, responsibilities, and recognition of the administrators, volunteers, and workers of the Paramporul Foundation may change at any time, with or without reason. In such situations, without selfishness or ego, they should fully accept these changes and agree with the final decision of the foundation.
47. Without knowing the deep good intentions and clarity behind the foundation’s actions, one should not spread rumors or flaws. One should trust that every decision made by the foundation has a deep meaning and act accordingly.
48. Before removing the administrators and workers of the Paramporul Trust from their positions for various reasons, the trustees should discuss together, make a decision, and then proceed with the removal.
49. One should not merely give work to the administrators and workers of the Paramporul Trust under the guise of karma yoga. Instead, a small payment, such as a weekly or monthly salary, should be provided in accordance with the current circumstances.
50. To spread this wisdom to the world on a large scale, one must recognize the importance of politics and power. Every administrator should understand and stay aware of the politics of Tamil Nadu, India, and the world. They should also actively engage in efforts to understand and contribute to these areas.
